Connecting Columbus to the Chattahoochee River

The Columbus Riverwalk parallels the eastern bank of the Chattahoochee River. GLA provided Landscape Architecture. Services for sections of the walk that meander between the River and the Historic Eagle and Phenix Mills in Uptown Columbus. Many areas of the Riverwalk are subject to periodic flooding. Plant material selection was determined by its ability to withstand periodic flooding, and its ability to appear subtle and naturalistic in the landscape.
